RULES

You can find the official rules HERE. Obeying the rules is expected from every rider.

THE EVENT

The Hungarian Divide is a self-supported bikepacking adventure event. The first and most important rule of the event is that is has to be completed on your on power using a bike.

You decide how far you want to go. It is up to you to decide whether you want to look at this event as a physical challenge, a social ride, or a tourist gig. We give the frame and help you to get the most out of it.

To help you imagine the vibes better, take a look at our video which we made of 5 Peaks 500, our 2019 flagship event: VIDEO

We will start the ride with a bunch start from a region called Őrség, which is basically the Slovenian-Austrian-Hungarian border. From this beautiful National Park the route will pass numerous more iconic Hungarian areas like the lake Balaton, the Bakony and Gerecse mountains until we reach Budapest and it's beautiful city landscape. Here the Half Distance event ends, and hopefully everyone who stops here will start to prepare for the Full Distance the next year :)

The biggest adventurers will move on from Budapest to follow the -slightly modified - 2019 5 Peaks 500 route through the "Hungarian Highlands" touching the highest and most beautiful points in our lovely country.
